Greenwood Farmstead LLC
Small Herds. Big Hearts. Rooted in Family.
Welcome to Our Family Farmstead
Rooted in tradition and grown with intention, our family farmstead is where hard work, care, and connection come together. While we don’t farm full-time, what we do is larger than a homestead and deeply personal to us. We thoughtfully raise and sell quality livestock while staying true to the values that matter most—integrity, responsibility, and family.
We are proud to be New York State’s first registered herd of Mini Longhorns with the TLBAA, alongside our registered Duroc pigs. Every animal we raise is part of our daily lives, and we approach our work with purpose, consistency, and respect for the land and livestock in our care.
Raised with Intention
Our animals are never just numbers or dollars to us. By keeping our herds intentionally small, we are able to invest the time that truly matters—hands-on care, daily observation, and meaningful interaction with every animal. This approach allows us to raise livestock that is not only high-quality, but well-adjusted and confident.
While we hold ourselves to high breed standards, we also place strong value on temperament. We intentionally breed for calm, friendly, and personable animals that are a good fit for family farms and larger operations alike. By putting the time in from the very beginning, we produce livestock that is well-raised, dependable, and ready to thrive in a variety of farm settings.
A Farmstead Built on Family
At the heart of everything we do is family. This farmstead is not just where we work—it’s where we live, learn, and grow together. The lessons of responsibility, stewardship, and care are passed down daily, shaping how we raise our animals and how we do business. We’re proud to share what we’ve built and welcome you into our story.
